Proposal concept, naming and branding design to create a new parfum.

Vision: Charlotte Tilbury wanted to launch a signature scent inspired by the brilliance of fine jewellery. She envisioned a bespoke bottle and packaging that embodied luxury and innovation, with an illustration on the outer packaging to bring the concept to life. When researching fragrance brands that draw inspiration from jewellery, I noticed a recurring theme - gold, silver, and gemstone motifs.While these elements symbolize luxury, they also evoke vanity. I wanted to take the idea further by exploring cultural traditions where jewellery holds deeper meaning.
Approach: Developing my initial research, I took inspiration from different cultures that not only wear jewellery as a luxurious accessory, but also they use it like a talisman - giving the jewels an extra meaning more magical and powerful. That’s when I turned to the Evil Eye, a talisman from Greek and Turkish heritage, believed to protect against negativity. This became the foundation for Charlotte Tilbury Talisman - a fragrance that not only exudes luxury but also empowers and protects those who wear it.

Design: I designed the bottle with a striking Evil Eye lid as the centerpiece. The bottle’s neck, inspired by an elegant gold ring, features engraved Charlotte Tilbury initials - bothelements revealed upon unboxing. To enhance the experience, I crafted the packaging to mirror a traditional engagement ring box. The bottle remains hidden on a plush velvet layer until opened, creating a moment of anticipation and exclusivity. The design also allows the bottle to be effortlessly removed by separating the lid and unfolding the velvet lining.
To make this mystical experience more sustainable, I proposed refillable fragrance stations in stores, allowing customers to replenish their signature scent - blending enchantment with eco-conscious design. Charlotte Tilbury Talisman is more than a fragrance - it’s a powerful, mystical, and luxurious statement.
