Charlotte Tilbury Talisman
Proposal concept, naming and branding design to create a new parfum.
Client: Charlotte Tilbury

Brief: Charlotte Tilbury aimed to launch a signature scent inspired by the brilliance of fine jewellery. The brief required a full concept developed from scratch—from naming to bottle and packaging design. She envisioned a luxurious, innovative presentation brought to life with an illustrated outer box. While researching jewellery-inspired fragrances, I noticed a recurring use of gold, silver, and gemstones to signal luxury—but also vanity.
Approach: While many fragrance brands use gold, silver, and gemstone motifs to suggest luxury, I wanted to explore deeper, more meaningful traditions where jewellery is also a protective talisman. This led me to the Evil Eye—an ancient symbol from Greek and Turkish heritage, believed to ward off negativity. It became the foundation for Charlotte Tilbury Talisman, a fragrance designed to empower as well as enchant.
I designed the bottle with a striking Evil Eye lid at its center. The neck, shaped like an elegant gold ring, features engraved Charlotte Tilbury initials—both revealed only upon unboxing. The packaging, inspired by a traditional engagement ring box, conceals the bottle under a plush velvet layer, creating a moment of anticipation and exclusivity. The velvet lining unfolds to release the bottle effortlessly.
To make this mystical experience more sustainable, I proposed in-store refill stations—blending enchantment with eco-conscious design. Charlotte Tilbury Talisman is more than a fragrance: it’s a luxurious, protective, and powerful statement.
